From ASHES to ASSEMBLE: A Dynamic View of Massive Protocluster Formation and Evolution
Date:
This contributed talk in the Massive Stars splinter session presented the ASHES-to-ASSEMBLE evolutionary picture of massive-protocluster formation.
High-resolution ALMA observations show systematic core growth and increasing central concentration as protoclusters evolve. The emergence of correlations between clumps, core clusters, and their most massive members points to continuous mass accretion, while the observed primordial mass segregation provides a direct connection between gas-dominated protoclusters and the structure of young stellar clusters.
The talk was presented on September 9, 2024, at 15:15 in room S23.
